Kaeppel Consulting, LLC is looking for a Business Analyst 2 for a six month effort for our client, the State of Texas, Department of Aging and Disability Services in Austin, Texas.
The position is needed to be a technical project lead, overseeing and assisting in complete system development life cycle processes, as well as performing the analysis, design and testing necessary to implement planned changes for the Long Term Care (LTC) Claims Management System (CMS).
Projects will require significant automation changes to the Texas Medicaid Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) LTC Online Portal system, necessitating analysis, functional design, coding and testing by TMHP and DADS staff.
Projects involve Texas Administrative Code Rules changes, training and rollout of the new processes to support the assessment, service authorization, payment and delivery of specialized services to eligible individuals in Texas.
This Business Analyst 2 will lead and perform critical DADS tasks for the project.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills with project management experience are necessary.
Project management work will include working as project lead, including coordination of current and planned activities with project technical leads and other subject-matter experts as required to ensure necessary tasks, deliverables and timelines are completed.
Oversee user testing to help insure successful project implementation.
This Business Analyst 2 will perform tasks under general supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
All communication with internal and external staff will be handled in a professional manner.
The services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following Provide knowledgeable project management, project planning, and analysis for the LTC CMS.
Coordinate with project technical leads, DADS program and other subject-matter experts, contractor representatives, and other State agency representatives as required to ensure necessary tasks, deliverables and timelines are completed.
Work with Program Area and team to analyze and document business processes and requirements.
Create detailed DADS business requirements documentation.
Create use case scenarios and test plans that accurately map back to the documented business requirements.
Perform and oversee application testing related to the LTC CMS.
