JOB DESCRIPTION:
Experience in Family Practice preferred but not required. Must have the ability to provide comprehensive healthcare under the supervision of a physician and also be willing to treat the patients as a whole, physically, mentally and spiritually. Perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures, knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration through our EMR software. Physician Assistant must have the ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of the disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment. Review and interpret lab results. Physician Assistant will also perform wellness checkups, school and work physicals, perform minor laceration repairs, routine fracture care, removal of foreign bodies, excisions, etc. Facility is equipped with digital x-ray machine, moderate-complex laboratory, EKG machine, and a physical therapy department. Physician Assistant will be able to coordinate schedule with two other providers. Requirements needed apply:
Physician Assistant must have a license to practice in the State of Texas or have the intent to apply for one
Physician Assistant Board Certified
Graduate with a master’s degree in PA studies from an approved Physician Assistant program.
