CPG has 115+ physicians within 26 specialties and generated 380,0 physician visits in offices located within a five county region of west central Pennsylvania as well as care at the three Conemaugh Health System hospitals and other community hospitals in the region. Conemaugh Health System (CHS) is a physician-led, professionally managed health system with nearly 4,600 dedicated employees who serve more than a half-million patients each year. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, the 545-bed flagship hospital of CHS, has been repeatedly recognized for clinical outcomes among the very best in the nation. OPPORTUNITY DETAILS Conemaugh Physician Group (CPG) is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our multi-specialty practice. Join a well-established thriving, employed group practice with a State of the art GI Lab that is conveniently located in hospital. The nearby GI outpatient clinic has six procedure rooms and thirteen holding beds. The group also has a Colon Rectal surgeon on staff. Candidates with experience or training in EUS and ERCPs are being sought. A competitive financial package and full benefits package will be offered.

Johnstown, Pa. Conemaugh Health Systems Board of Directors and Duke Life Point Healthcare today announced that the acquisition of Conemaugh Health System by Duke Life Point is complete. As part of Duke Life Point, Conemaugh Health System will strengthen its operations and enhance its ability to thrive in the future.
Under the terms of the transaction, Duke Life Point acquired Conemaugh Health Systems three hospitals, its outpatient centers and the Conemaugh Physician Group practices. Duke Life Point will invest $425 million in Conemaughs facilities over the next 10 years, and the proceeds from the purchase price will be used by a locally governed charitable foundation to fund future programs to meet community needs.
This acquisition is an exciting milestone for Conemaugh Health System, our employees and physicians, and all of the communities we serve, said Ron Vickroy, chairman of the Conemaugh Health System board of directors. As part of the acquisition, Duke Life Point offered employment to all Conemaugh Health System employees and is working with Conemaugh leaders to establish a local board of trustees that includes members of the local community, local physicians and a representative from Duke.
All of Conemaugh Health Systems core services will be maintained, and Duke Life Point will provide resources to expand and enhance services that Conemaughs communities need. Also, Duke Life Point has adopted Conemaugh Health Systems current charity care policy.
