Human Resources Manager/ HR Manager

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to provide a proactive and specialist human resources business partnering services to service owners (Directors, Heads of Service and Managers in particular) that adds value and impacts positively on the outcomes of the business.
In this key role you will be accountable for a HR Business partnering service demonstrating ownership of people management issues in the organisation. You will fully understand and interpret HR policy and best practice to give advice, coach and influence managers on a full range of complex employee related issues; including employee relations.
Other duties will include ensuring that approaches to staff management and employee relations are applied consistently within the requirements of current employment law along with managing the life-cycle activities of employees.
The successful candidate will have previous HR Advisor or Business Partner experience and will be fully CIPD qualified, or similar level of qualification/ experience. You will have expert and up to date understanding of employment legislation and best practice standards, including ability to advise on practical application of these areas and a strong understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity. Significant experience of working in a generalist HR capacity, including extensive experience of managing the employment life cycle, complex employee relations cases, performance and absence management and change processes is essential. Additionally you will be proficient with using HR systems and will preferably have an understanding of the Northgate based system.
