This group provides outpatient mental health for children and families, adults, older adults, transitional age youth, crisis counseling, and a wellness center.
This position is for a Wellness Program and the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- PMHNP will work to ensure quality mental health care through teaching and consultation with therapeutic and support staff. The Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will provide medication supportive services to the clients based in the Adult Program.
An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with certification as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will qualify for this permanent NP position.
Nurse Practitioner- PMHNP will work full-time in out-patient, wellness program with diverse patient population
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP core hours will be Monday – Friday; 830am to 5pm
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will work with clients in the 18-60+ age group mental health care
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will collaborate with the Medical Director and Nursing Administrator, developing and maintaining provider protocols for the care of patients in Family and Adult Divisions
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will develop and maintain a patient load of size and complexity commensurate with licensure, experience and agency needs according to protocol
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will see patients as needed regarding medication evaluation, furnishing medications and monitoring, injections and otherwise as needed
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will maintain a Nursing office on site and staff open clinic hours as assigned or as needed
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will provide education and intervention in individual therapy, group therapy and community outreach settings as assigned
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will attend treatment team meetings as assigned, providing consultation on medical issues
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP may direct receipt, handling, storage, dispensing and tracking of meds including samples
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP may assist in refilling medications as needed, as well as provides TB testing to clients and staff as needed
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will direct, and provide training in, infection control and provides staff and patient education on an ad hoc basis
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will receive, review and respond as appropriate to calls regarding medical or medication issues according to protocol
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will act as liaison to pharmacy providers and to laboratory providers including reviewing lab reports
Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP will assist the Program Director and Medical Director in preparing for audits

Psychiatric – PMHNP Certification Required
2 years of psych unit or behavioral health experience, working either as an RN or NP
Strong verbal and written communication skills and possession of the ability to respond quickly and professionally in crisis situations
Demonstrate solid psychiatric diagnostic skills.
Possess skills and an ability to respond quickly and professionally in crisis situations
Proven desired to work within community mental health and working with marginalized patient population
