The role is making new busines calls and taking new business enquiries from clients about their loan requirements such as:
- Learning about their business
- Asking relevant qualifying questions
- Making a recommendation to them on the most suitable finance option
- Working with clients to gather the necessary documents and information in order to process that application to completion.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Bright
- Thorough
- Have excellent communication skills (i.e. they need to be able to come across well on the phone and email and “sell” our services).
- A background in financial services would certainly help but as most of what we do is dealing with sectors of finance that are themselves fairly new, this is not essential.
- Have the ability to think outside of the box to bring new business to the table
The package:
Basic pay will be £20,000 – £25,000 with uncapped commission for top performers
In addition, any business the employee brings to the firm themselves via their own efforts (as opposed to marketing campaigns run by the firm) will earn the employee a flat commission rate of 20% as well as contributing to their bonus totals.
Our clients are a finance broker. They can arrange loans both for businesses and private individuals but about 80% of what we do is for small businesses. While we do deal a little with the main High Street lenders, our main focus is on the new and growing sector of Alternative Finance i.e. using new ways of getting loans that aren’t done by the High Street banks such as crowd funding, cash advances, pension led business finance and dealing with a host of private lenders. Our business is conducted nationally and we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and are members of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers.
