We are seeking an exceptional Central Supply Clerk to join our clinical team at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab of Farmville . This 120-bed facility is part of the Covenant Dove organization where our mission is “serving the needs of our communities, one patient at a time”. Our goal is to be a resource to our community, providing short-term rehabilitation for a “short stay with long term success” in addition to providing a variety of skilled nursing services. The Central Supply Clerk assumes the responsibility of working to facilitate receipt and distribution of supplies. This position is also responsible for maintaining the stock room.
TASKS
Assumes authority, responsibility and accountability for facility and supply as illustrated by the following:
Assists with supply check-in at the time of delivery and verify against purchase orders
Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable
Distribute supplies to appropriate locations
Responsible for stock room organization and cleanliness and assist with inventory as required
Participates in relevant in-service training sessions and continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities
Attend and participate in facility meetings, including those related to infection Control/Safety, Quality improvement and others as assigned
Applies quality improvement principles, tools and techniques
Assists in data collection and identifies processes for improvement in daily work flow
Educates new staff in team process, fosters high performance and recognizes need for and provides information relating to adequate resources
Promotes residents rights; assists residents to make informed decisions and treats residents with dignity and respect.
Reports neglect and abuse of residents, supports independent expression, choice and decision making of residents
Enters or records data; promotes confidentiality of information
Applies hand washing principles during daily work; demonstrates understanding of isolation precautions; recognizes signs and symptoms of infection and complies with employee health program, and demonstrates understanding of cross-contamination
Demonstrates understanding of the process for identifying and handling infectious waste
Promotes compliance with accident prevention procedure, safety rules and safe work practices to prevent employee injury and control workers ‘compensation costs
Utilizes computer databases for administrative tasks, and specialized computer programs for other duties as needed
Handles all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (word processing, graphics, databases, and spreadsheets
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, oral and written communication
Must be able to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted timeframe
Positions in select states or on select facilities may require additional education, certification and/or training as mandated by State specific laws, policies and regulations.

Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment as well as part of a team
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers and the public
