SALARY: $40,000 – 6 month temporary position ($6,666.66 per month)


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under direction, provide leadership and management of the New Skills for Youth Initiative Grant, Phase I.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree [official transcript required];

• Experience in project management and/or program evaluation.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to engage collaboration across a variety of cross-sector team members; promote team building through positive leadership skills; exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions;

• Ability to organize and present facts and opinions clearly and concisely;

• Ability to establish effective working relations with other employees and the public; to exercise tact, courtesy and initiative;

• Knowledge of technology and ability to use it to maximize efficiency and services;

• Willing and able to perform necessary job-related travel;

• Conscientious commitment to provision of courteous, consistent and efficient service through the performance of the prescribed job duties;

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


E XAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Serve as liaison between cross-sector team members representing the business community, higher education, career technology education, PK-12 education, governor’s office, and others;

• Manage needs assessment tasks with the project evaluation team;

• Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in college and career pathway initiatives across the state and country;

• Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with New Skills for Youth Initiative requirements including documentation of strategic planning in an electronic portfolio;

• Manage project budget and resource allocation;

• Facilitate implementation of communication plan.

•Organize presentations and materials for Call to Action Summit.
