Job Description:
- Perform the work with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all involved.
- Understand and comply with all safety regulation and guidelines while on company or customer property. Report any accident, incident near miss.
- Understand and comply with the established Quality System and repot any deficiencies and stop any plant operation if is it compromising the quality process.
- Retrieve product from stock areas in order to fulfill orders.
- Stage cylinders within the plant in preparation for shipment.
- Prepare cylinders for shipments (removing old labels, painting, inspecting and checking, wrapping valve, tagging, labeling and/or stenciling with the appropriate information per the company, bar-code scanning, loading and securing on pallets, etc.)
- Assist in loading and unloading containers from trucks.
- Maintain general work area as per 5S methodology.
- Prepare shipping paperwork according to the company regulations.
- Contact common carrier and locations to coordinate the delivery and pickup of cylinders as well as other materials.
- Receive incoming products and materials on the appropriate logs and informing the proper personnel or receipt.
- Prepare and arrange pickups of shipments for express service carriers such as Federal Express, UPS, etc.
- Fill in the Distribution Lead person and assume the basic responsibilities of the distribution department.
General Requirements:
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Good mechanical skills and aptitude.
- Have a basic knowledge of the properties and characteristics of the products being handled.
- Be able to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations.
