Under general supervision, reads electrical meters at commercial, industrial and residential establishments and enters data into hand held recording device; records meter-reading problems for needed corrections or repairs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school equivalency, supplemental college courses in record keeping, basic mathematics, and computer operations, and one year of experience involving customer service, route work, working in local weather conditions, knowledge of county roads, computers, and record keeping procedures.

Licensing and Certification Requirements:

A valid driver’s license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.


A current DMV driving record must accompany job application.
