Candidate will be responsible in supporting the wind turbine network data communications and related hardware and software ensuring the ability to remotely control as well as receive operational data from wind turbines in our fleet. In addition, candidate will be responsible for the overall support project management of our Meteorological related equipment (MET towers, SoDARs) installed at our sites. Candidate will have an assigned region, but is expected to collaborate and back up other regional Wind Communications Support Specialists as needed, as well as support and collaborate with the FPDC, sites, Fleet Teams, OEMs, and other stakeholders as required. Travel to sites is expected when remote support efforts are exhausted which will be 20-30% of the time. Key skills desired would include computer (hardware/software), networks, fiber, SCADA, SQL, VMWare, radios, and NetSupport. Knowledge of quality tools such as QI Story is desired, and QI Yellow Belt certification is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2-5 years relevant duties experience and relevant supervisory experience required, if applicable. Candidate’s assigned region will be the Heartland and Texoma.
