Perform secretarial and clerical tasks to aide in the efficient operation of the Summit County Public Health.
Secretary Job Duties
- Answer telephone to give general information to the public regarding Summit County Public Health.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas.
- Compose, type, and distribute meetings notes, routine correspondence and reports
- Mail correspondence for designated personnel
- Maintain scheduling and event calendars/schedule and confirm appointments for designated personnel.
- Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
- Complete forms in accordance with agency procedures
- Complete word processing tasks relating to standards, procedures, forms, letters, and miscellaneous documents.
- Maintain files and filing systems for designated personnel. Assist with records retention process.
- Assist with division contract management
- Order and dispense supplies/materials/equipment as directed
- Process and track purchase orders.
- Perform data entry activities as directed.
- Assist with project management.
- Assist with billing projects as directed.
- Performs job duties under the regulations, policies and procedures set forth by Summit County Public Health and outside agencies such as the County Fiscal Officer, Ohio Department of Health, and state and federal government.
- May participate in Medicaid Administrative activities such as referral, enrollment, monitoring, and coordination of services, etc.
- Performs any other duties as required for the efficient operation of Summit County Public Health.
- Maintains cooperative working relationships among public and agency participants.
- Employee has the obligation, set forth by the Summit County Public Health Emergency Operations Plan and within the scope of their employment, and will be available for emergency service during routine and non-routine hours of operation including 24/7/365 availability.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires a high school diploma.
- Current valid Ohio drivers license, automobile availability and insurance coverage
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years previous related work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Salary Range: S5 ($17.28/hr. – $21.97/hr.)
