Reports to
- The Warehouse Assistant reports to the Director of Administration. The personnel leader is the Director of Administration; however, in the case of personnel matters the Director of Administration must seek the approval of the Vice President.

Objectives
- To provide administrative support to the Director of Administration.
- To fulfill such duties, the Office Assistant will utilize knowledge, technical skills, initiative, and company tools provided.
- To fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s principles of leadership and organization, the ALDI Management System.
Substitution
- A designated office employee will fill-in during an absence.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions
- Provides administrative support to the directors, warehouse supervisors, and the rest of the office, stores, and warehouse.
- Performs assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and according to ALDI administrative policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicates information on behalf of the Director of Administration, including written and verbal communication.
- Works cooperatively with contract haulers, suppliers, and service companies to maintain a successful partnership.
- Creates reports as required to provide information for management decision making.
- Cooperates and interacts effectively through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
- Works cooperatively with leaders, co-workers, District Managers, store and warehouse employees to generate teamwork and efficiency.
- Communicates relevant information with peers and leadership allowing them to fulfill their duties.
- Works proactively to identify, investigate, and report irregularities within designated area of responsibility.
- Conducts training and cross training of knowledge and expertise within area of responsibility.
- Serves as a backup assistant, as designated by the leader, to ensure proper coverage of necessary responsibilities.
- Communicates with internal and external auditors as necessary.
Individual Tasks
- Works cooperatively and collaboratively to foster a proper and productive work environment at the divisional office.
- Displays expense and cost control in decision making.
- Maintains an efficient and well organized filing system for the department and ensures items are archivd and disposed of per company guidelines.
- Keeps the workstation and surrounding area neat and well organized.
- Maintains appropriate computer program and data backups in compliance with company policy.
- Upholds the security and confidentiality of any documentation and electronic data within area of responsibility.
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Performs general office support and administrative assistance as required.
- Provides any other administrative support deemed necessary by the divisional directors.
Job Specifications Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and ability to proficiently utilize WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, and specified computer programs and software within area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and/or apply ALDI administrative policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in performing basic arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to understand, reconcile, and substantiate balances in specified general ledger accounts.
- Ability to follow instruction and give attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to establish goals and work toward achievement.
- Proficient in typing and data entry.
