Support Services Supervisor 3 - State of Oregon - Ontario, OR

This position exists within the Oregon Department of Corrections’ Health Services Section of the Operations Division and is located at Snake River Correctional Facility in Ontario, OR. There is currently ONE (1) Support Services Supervisor 3 position vacant. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

The primary purpose of the position is to supervise the Medical Services non-licensed support positions. This position is responsible for the recruitment, selection, assignment, and direct supervision of the Office Specialist positions. Assists the Central Manager with the on-site supervision of the on-site Pharmacy Technician, Medical Records Technician, Radiology/lab Technician, and the Dental Assistant positions. Assists the Medical Services Manager in the direction of the health care program, is responsible for assisting in the establishment and management of the program to deliver health care to inmates for one or more state operated correctional institutions. Makes recommendations regarding fiscal decisions affecting the program budget and decisions pertaining to the utilization of personnel, contact services providers, consultants and agency services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

three years of office management experience; OR

three years of supervisory experience over office, technical, or support staff, including responsibility for:

a) hiring;

b) training;

c) assigning and reviewing work;

d) doing performance appraisals; and

e) handling disciplinary action

One year of the experience must have included supervision over multiple support functions.

Transcripts must be submitted to receive credit for education coursework at the time of application. Transcripts are used as additional information if experience calculations cannot be made with work experience alone.
