POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Recruitment Intern


LOCATION: Arlington, VA or Little Rock, AR


UNIT: Human Resources


GROUP: Operations


REPORTS TO: Senior HR Advisor & Senior Recruitment Officer


STATUS: Non-exempt, 40 hours/week


POSITION SUMMARY:


The HR Internship is a six month, full-time (40/hours per week) paid internship with possible extension. The intern will provide administrative support to the Recruitment function in the organization under HR for both proposal and staff positions for the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:**



  • Support HR needs for both proposal and advertisement postings.




  • Assist with screening resumes in Ascentis for posted positions and move relevant CVs and cover letters to proposal collaboration sites.




  • Coordinate interview scheduling with candidates and proposal teams.




  • Provide administrative support to the HR team as requested.




  • Coordinate and/or collect documents for 1420 biodata verification.




  • Send out reference requests, track and save responses.




  • Send out requests for permission to use quotes in proposals, track and save responses.




  • Load all relevant documents for recruitment to proposal collaboration sites.




  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:**


Education:**


  • Currently enrolled or recent degree in Business related field with emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent experience.

Experience:


  • Basic knowledge of progressive HR recruitment principles and practices. International experience and understanding of total quality concepts preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:



  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical standards at all times




  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of corporate and employee information, required




  • Expertise in institutional support software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) is essential




  • Proficient in multi-tasking and meeting or exceeding expectations




  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to think critically and work independently a must




  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills
