Title : General Clerk I
Location : Department of Veteran Affairs, St. Louis Employee Education Resource Center, Building 102T, 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO
Type of Position : Contract – One year contract with two one-year options.
Positions Available : One (1) Full-Time (40 hours per week) position available.
The successful candidate will report to the On-Site Supervisor and Human Resources at our corporate office. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assist with clerical/administrative support services for the EES TMS team.
- Create, review and edit various EES TMS specific clerical and training compliance or accreditation report requests.
- Provide performance and process improvement suggestions
- Prepare various charts, graphs (Vizio and Excel) and narrative information for Team reports.
- Create and manage and/or deactivate TMS user profiles for EES Employees, Staff and Conference Attendees.
- Provide corporate office with Monthly reports on a timely basis
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrate 3 or more years of experience working with MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Lync, Vizio and SharePoint) on resume
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new software
- Experience and ability to communicate properly vial oral and written methods. Must be able to prepare and summarize basic data and compose correspondence and reports.
- Possess interpersonal skills and outstanding customer service skills
Supplemental Documentation Required:
- Narrative #1 : One page or less, provide a comprehensive response and list TWO (2) specific examples of your knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office software. Please provide an example of how candidate has advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, graphs, survey, database) and has a working knowledge using Vizio software programs. Please ensure you include at least two examples and describe the outcome of the issue.
- Narrative #2 : One page or less, provide a comprehensive response and list TWO (2) specific examples of your ability to communicate orally and in writing with the knowledge of using proper format, style, grammar and punctuation
- Narrative #3 : One page or less, provide a comprehensive response and list TWO (2) specific examples of your knowledge and skill of your ability to work with internal and external customers to enhance customer satisfaction. Please ensure you include at least two examples and describe the outcome of the issue. In addition, provide a comprehensive response and list TWO (2) specific examples of your ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and the outcomes.
- Narrative #4 : One page or less, provide a comprehensive response and list TWO (2) specific examples of your ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work assignments. Please ensure you include at least two examples and describe the outcome of the issue.
Salary : $12.33 per hour, plus $4.27 per hour for health and wellness benefits. Hours of work will be anytime between 6:00a.m. – 6:00p.m., Monday through Friday – 40 hours per week, five (5) eight hour days.
Testing Requirements : Candidates chosen for consideration must be able to successfully complete a government background screening.
