Bond Street Theatre’s mission is to promote peace and mutual understanding through the arts.
The company initiates theatre-based programs in areas of conflict and poverty around the world, using the power of the arts to encourage social progress, heal the wounds of war, give new opportunities to those in need, and explore solutions to local issues. The company has initiated arts programs in 40 countries worldwide affecting people of all ages and genders. Our current focus areas are Afghanistan, Myanmar, Lebanon, Pakistan, Greece and the Balkans.


Primary Responsibilities


The Resource Mobilization Consultant(s) will support BST’s senior management team with identifying funding opportunities from institutional donors, designing projects that fulfill BST’s mission and meet project goals, and lead on the drafting, editing and compiling of supplementary materials to fulfill NOFO requirements.


Resource Mobilization Consultant(s) will be detail-oriented and efficient; comfortable working with limited guidance and supervision; able to meet strict deadlines; and be able to write clearly and compellingly about Bond Street Theatre’s past, current, and planned programming.


Ideal candidates will have experience identifying new grant announcements; writing successful grant proposals, concept notes and statements of interest to the US Department of State and USAID; and drafting multi-year budgets of at least $500,000 for proposed programs.


Resource Mobilization Consultants will work part-time, on a schedule based on organizational requirements and upcoming deadlines. Consultants may work remotely or from BST’s office in New York City.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or college.

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in communications and fundraising for international development projects, particularly in the Middle East and Central and South Asia


  • Excellent written communication skills




  • Strong organizational and time management skills and high attention to detail




  • High proficiency in MS Excel and Word, and Google Sheets and Documents




  • Authorization to work in the U.S.



Compensation


Consultants will be compensated hourly, commensurate with experience.
