Position Description:


SI is seeking a Senior Program Assistant to provide project administrative and logistical support to the Performance Evaluation pillar, providing technical inputs when relevant and available.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide administrative and logistical support to performance evaluation and contract teams, including but not limited to: drafting consultant agreements and preparing onboarding packages, arranging travel and hotel reservations, securing visas, reconciling and reviewing consultant expense reports and invoices




  • Orient consultant team members to SI working procedures, including in the promotion and enforcement of SI’s Evaluation Quality, Use and Impact (EQUI) approach




  • Under the supervision of SI Program Managers, facilitate communication and collaboration between SI staff, consultants, and clients as appropriate




  • Under the supervision of SI Program Managers, draft and edit technical deliverables, including work plans, evaluation designs, inception reports, and evaluation reports




  • Under the supervision of SI Program Managers, monitor program financials




  • Under the supervision of SI Program Managers, provide technical support such as conducting desk reviews and other research, preparing facilitation and capacity building tools, drafting data collection instruments, and analyzing qualitative or quantitative data




  • Support marketing, business and proposal development related to the service area


    Qualifications:




  • Bachelor degree in International Relations, Political Science, or related subject pertaining to international development and/or strategic planning, performance management, or capacity building




  • Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience




  • Social science or research background preferred




  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment




  • Strong attention to detail




  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills




  • Working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing applications




  • Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish or French preferred




  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods and analysis preferred
