MAJOR DUTIES
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance.
Dispatches drivers to resolve customer complaints.
Schedules bulk, white goods, and yard waste pickups.
Follows up with citizens to ensure problem resolution.
Maintains records of all calls.
Creates and revises customer accounts.
Processes customer billing.
Processes overdue accounts.
Maintains resident address databases.
Prints driver schedules.
Maintains personnel records.
Maintains office supply inventory.
Enters a variety of data into computerized databases.
Performs related duties.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge of customer service policies and procedures.
Knowledge of computers and job related software programs.
Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
Skill in the preparation of clear and precise reports.
Skill in oral and written communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
