Pay Range 47: $29,036 to $40,643 DOE/Q annually plus benefits

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or experience equivalent to three (3) years of clerical work that included contact with the public and customer service. Must ha
ve valid Arizona driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
TASKS: Under direction of the Library Manager, Support Services, serves as receptionist; greets/directs visitors; schedules meeting rooms; prepare written responses to routine enquiries; prepare and modify documents including correspondence, department calendars, reports, drafts, memos and emails; assists with daily cash accounting; record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of staff and management team meetings; sorts and distributes mail; prepares and posts signs; copies and collates materials for distribution; assists with records management. Maintains various computerized and paper files; performs data entry; posts entries to spreadsheets; inventories and orders supplies; arranges for the repair and servicing of office equipment; assists with the planning and organizing of volunteer recognition events and other library functions. Works with technical services library assistant as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of general office procedures, methods and equipment
- Knowledge of customer service principles, practices and techniques
- Knowledge of methods and techniques for filing and recordkeeping
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Advanced skill in oral and written communications one-one one or in a group
- Skill in interpreting and applying rules, policies and procedures
- Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate records, reports, and files
- Ability to work with little or no supervision in a fast paced environment
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and teamwork oriented
Physical and Visual Ability: Sufficient to effectively and safely perform required duties and to safely operate required equipment, lift up to 50 lbs. and operate a city vehicle as needed.
Hearing and Speaking Ability: Sufficient to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the telephone.
