Essential Responsibilities    * Provide support for corporate international tax planning initiatives, including the analysis of tax attribute carryforwards (including foreign tax credits, untaxed earnings and profits, and PTI), technical transaction/reporting analysis, and working with tax leaders and personnel at business units.

* Participate in tax process improvement initiatives, including the identification and development of new projects.

* Direct involvement in the preparation, review and submission process for US international tax reporting for GE’s domestic and non-US affiliates.
Qualifications/Requirements:    * “YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.”

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least 8 years of public accounting and/or corporate experience in federal corporate and international taxation with at least 5 years specifically focusing on US international taxation.

* Experience, either client service or in-house, with large, multinational companies.

* Working knowledge of US tax rules relating to international acquisitions and reorganizations and the related US international tax reporting requirements.

* Strong accounting, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

* Good computer and process improvement skills.

* Competence with Microsoft Office products or other common tax database tools.

* Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

* Willingness to work out of an office in Stamford, CT.

Desired Characteristics    * Certified Public Accountant preferred.

* Masters in Taxation and/or JD strongly preferred.

Role Summary/Purpose:    The Regional Food & Biofuel Expert will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. You will also have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities    - Provide technical support, expertise and problem solving for Industrial Process Food & Biofuel (F&B) chemical products and processes in North America, and represent North America in the Global F&B virtual team
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of regional F&B industry processes and unit operations
- Support and/or recommend new technologies in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop solutions for customer problems
- Contribute to the overall Industrial Process F&B chemical growth strategies
- Participate in cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product line, supplier, or commercial issues
- Possess a fundamental understanding of product chemistries for Industrial Process chemicals in all major F&B industries
- Provide technical consultation, leadership, and guidance throughout the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) design process
- Author technical papers and present materials at technical tradeshows and conferences to create market pull for GE products and services
- Participate as a trainer in internal and external training classes and workshops with the Training and Marketing teams
- Identify business development and sales opportunities, including new product ideas and cost reduction projects
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Qualifications/Requirements:    - Bachelor’s degree in food technology, chemical engineering, chemistry, or other technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in major F&B industries, including process chemical treatment technologies

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel regionally 20 – 40%
