We have an opening for a senior developer on the Visual Studio Online - Service Insights team. The Service Insights team is the center of the presentation for Business, Operational and Customer Intelligence data. We are looking for a self-driven, customer focused developer with a passion for building scalable services and with deep knowledge of analytics technologies. We’d like a developer with passion for diving in advanced analytics disciplines such as data mining, predictive analytics, statistical analysis and machine learning will be a plus. The position will require you to have extensive knowledge of Analytics technologies, BigData solutions and advanced skills in C# and SQL Server. We’re looking for a candidate who seeks big challenges as part of a strong team and can mix great collaboration skills with an ability to work independently and deliver well thought out solutions to tough problems.

Basic Qualifications

- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

- 6+ years writing code in C#/Java and SQL Server development experience

- Strong C# coding skills

- Development experience in SQL Server, BigData and cloud storage technologies

Preferred:

- Excellent technical, design and problem solving skills

- Demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and communicate effectively

- Ability to work independently, as part of a small team, or in collaboration with large product groups

- Experience in shipping multiple versions of products and services

- Experience in building high performance, scalable online services is highly preferred

The ideal candidate is an experienced Software Development Lead with a proven track record of delivering products.

- 3+ years of experience working as a Development Lead

- 7+ years of experience in software development

- Deep knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and SQL

- Working knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript

We have an immediate opening for a Security Software Engineer with the following duties:

(1) Research reported vulnerabilities/exploits to understand what leads to success exploitation.

(2) Identify factors present in the attack chain that might help defense and detection.

(3) Design/implement automated analytical components and perform in-depth analysis to identify real-world attacks.

Candidates need to have knowledge of Windows architecture or other in-depth knowledge of a product, security-mindedness, and solid debugging and coding skills in C/C++.

Other traits that would make a candidate more attractive include experience triaging crashes for exploitability, experience with understanding assembly and exploits/malware, penetration testing experience, experience with common hacking   tools, data analysis.

Support Escalation Engineering at Microsoft

The Support Escalation Engineer - You will use advanced troubleshooting methods and tools to solve technically complex problems.   These highly complex escalated problems require broad, in-depth product knowledge and may include support of additional product lines.   You also have the opportunity to assist in the growth of other Engineers through mentoring, training scenarios and collaboration during problem solving. Key Responsibilities:
