Programmer: Tualatin, OR with a move to our new Super Center Vancouver, WA at some point – This position will train on day shift and move to graveyard shift within 6 months.
Major Duties:
1. Work from detail drawings, 2D geometry files, 3D models, sketches, templates and notes to generate quality NC programs for CNC metal processing equipment using various CAD/CAM software.
2. Support the Programming Department through the following:
a. Proof and troubleshoot NC Programs created by colleagues to ensure trouble free operation.
b. Assist in the investigation of, and solution to, technical problems involving NC programs and machine operation.
c. Review and verify existing programs for compliance with customer specifications and machine capabilities.
d. Assist Operators with qualification and validation of machine parameters.
e. Recommend and assist in implementing improvements to efficiency and throughput.
Skills Required:
• Skilled NC Programmer
• Laser programming experience for sheet and plate required, not mill and lathe
• Six years’ experience in the industry
• Four years NC Programming experience (in sheet and plate) required
• Proficient in Flat Pattern Development
• Solid modeling experience required, SolidWorks preferred
