McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top-rated Accounting Firm who have multiple offices across the South East & London and are looking to strengthen their Audit function and recruit a Qualified ACA/ACCA AuditManagerwithin their Watford office. Reporting to the Audit Director, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the complete Audit process for a portfolio of SME & International clients with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
- Leading and managing fieldwork on client sites across the wider London area including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process
- Working with Directors & Partners to broaden the appeal of the firms services, and client networking to win new business
- Dealing with the financial aspects of the portfolio including client negotiations, cost budgeting, over-run costings and client billing
- Preparing and reviewing work papers and drafts of company financial statements
- Producing client deliverables which include specifically drafting sections of the report to management.
- Addressing and discussing with clients any technical and audit issues identified during the course of audits
- Ensuring all Audit engagements are compliant with auditing standards and internal procedures
- Identifying areas requiring improvement in client business processes and providing recommendations
- Developing Audit Juniors & Seniors in the team by on the job training and helping with their work
- Maintaining an up to date understanding of client businesses and developing good working relationships with client staff
To be considered for the role you should be a qualified ACA/ACCA Assistant Manager or Manager with previous Audit experience of small and medium-sized corporate businesses, and ideally from either a Top 50 or a well-established regional Accountancy firm. You will have strong staff management experience, working in a team environment on multiple UK & International Audit clients, building relationships with clients and being able to prioritise and work to strict audit deadlines and budgets.
