Examples Of Essential Duties:
Some of the duties include performing receptionist duties by greeting the pubic,answering telephones, responding to e-mails messages and routing telephone calls to appropriate persons; administering the customer response system involving telephone reception and database operation; assisting with coordinating and training seasonal reception personnel; ordering office supplies and coordinating the maintenance of office equipment; coordinating the mailroom functions, and scheduling the use of building meeting rooms or other facilities. Record complaints and route such to appropriate personnel; enter and retrieve all information from database files; Provide communication between District office and personnel in the field; Types reports, letters, speeches, agendas, minutes and specifications as assigned; utilizing Microsoft Word/Excel.
Write, type and distribute commission staff minutes;
Typical Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have One – two years post-high school education or equivalent; Two years experience as a front desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant; Or equivalent combination of education and experience or demonstrated capability to perform the jobs duties. Outstanding customer service skills are required. strong computer, clerical, and communications skills, and demonstrated effectiveness in handling customer responses both in-person, by e-mail and over the phone in a fast-paced environment. He/she should also possess good organizational and planning skills, along with facility scheduling or utilization experience, and the ability to relate with ease and efficiency to all employees, board members and the public in a friendly work environment.
