This position requires experience in HR and Recruiting.
The Job Connection Assistant provides/follow along support for Job Connections client/consumers and will be required to document all interactions with clients and communicate progress or needs to the Job Connections Manager. This staff is responsible for the day-to-day intake and supervision of clients, equipment, facilities and operations of the Job Connections Center. Staff will be available to assist with classroom duties and /or individualized resume writing , job applications and any other operational coaching needs of Job Connections Center, and be a combination of a receptionist, adviser, coach and supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
prepare resumes in professional format, active job placement assistance, recruiting experience preferred.
1. Greet Clients, answer phone, provide information and document all activities of Job Connections Center.
2. Responsible for all intake documentation, data entry and inputs data for reporting needs of the Job Connection Center. Records participant attendance, progress and employment data.
3. Provide assistance to clients as they engage in job search: including but not limited to resume writing, interviewing skills, applications and online searches.
4. Provide supervision of Job Connections Center and record activities . Schedule use of classroom and general areas in accordance to mission and purpose of good will, ensuring all equipment and facilities are well-maintained.
5. Job coaching logs to be submitted weekly with an hourly narrative of training provided to consumers if necessary.
6. Communicate and collaborate with DARS counselors, area employers, site managers and Goodwill’s Job Placement Team on client’s needs, progress and on-going support.
7. Facilitate online learning sessions (computer Literacy, Math and Reading remediation etc.)
8. Provide employment services as necessary.
9. Provide job coaching services as necessary.
10. Assist with other tasks as necessary.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Eduction or a related field, with a minimum of two years of previous experience working with hard to serve populations. Experience in job development or job placement is required. Computer experience should include Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to pass required DARS related UNTWISE certification exams.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and maintain excellent customer service skills. The individual must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to convey a positive and businesslike image in person and on the telephone to participants, employer, professionals and to the general public.

1. Maintain a professional commitment to development of professional skills needed to staty abreast of the latest trends in the employment and disability field.
2. Complete required training identified by Goodwill Industries, including, but not limited to First Aid, CPR, seizure management, Crisis Prevention Intervention etc.
Salary: $15.46 /hour
