Responsibilities:
- Perform pick, store, and re-warehouse tasks in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
- Perform item counts as required.
- Perform cycle counts as required.
- Evaluate and determine status of inventory at various locations
- Package products for shipment within the plant as needed.
- Perform computer transactions via computer (VDT) and RF in RIMS
- Operate various lift trucks, WAVE, and pick cart.
- Assign TIN (Transportation Identification Number) to picked parts.
- Insure that bins and boxes are placed in locations in a secure manner.
- Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on department lift trucks, hoists and WAVE.
- Label and bag parts correctly and print pick labels as needed.
- Perform other stockroom functions as required.
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
- To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Per 8 hr. shift (stand 3 hrs., walk 5 hrs.), continuously (push/pull), frequently (work above chest level, bend, reach, balance), occasionally (squat, and climb).
- Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 20 lbs., occasionally from 21 to 50 lbs.).
- Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, use feet to operate foot pedals, work atheights up to 50 feet, climb a 30 foot stairway, do simple and firm grasping with both hands.
- Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to battery acid, dust, solvents and oil.
- Must be able to safely operate three step push carts.
- Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and WAVE, and safely work in areas of lift truck and pedestrian traffic.
- Basic math, read, remember, reason, analyze, do paper work, have basic computer skills, and have organizational skills.
