United States of America: Sr. Business Systems Analyst/System Manager


Job Overview/Summary:


The IT department Software and Systems Group provides and supports end-to-end technology solutions to meet the organization business needs, including aspects of application development, integration management, enterprise architecture, user experience design, quality assurance & testing, and overall product management.


Focused on financial and supply chain systems, the Business Systems Manager (BSM) will have varying levels of responsibility across the entire system lifecycle. Working in partnership with the finance, global supply chain departments and IT groups, the BSM has responsibility for the operational management, support, and delivery of financial systems functionality to the IRC user community. Additionally, the BSM will provide key technology systems subject matter expertise during the architecture, planning, selection, and implementation of new systems, modules, functionality and system-based processes.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily administration and performance and delivery of an enterprise-level systems with 1000+ users

  • Proactively develop subject matter expertise in the business needs and processes supported by IRC systems

  • Proactively develop and maintain knowledge of the landscape of relevant financial and supply chain system solutions

  • Participate in user requirements gathering and map those requirements into systems implementation, setup, and architecture configurations

  • Analyze system issues and gaps and identify solutions

  • Facilitate, create and maintain systems and user documentation including system support processes, data, functionality, procedures, security, and protocols that meet IRC IT standards

  • Participate in and oversee testing of systems functionality, data integrity, user competency, process completion, and other tests that support systems delivery quality

  • Develop overall financial and supply chain systems delivery architecture

  • Provide high-level escalated support to business users and manage escalation of support questions to the vendor

  • Participate in cross-systems enterprise coordination and planning to deliver best systems value to the IRC community, including architecture, master data management, processes, and integration

Requirements Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 4+ years of experience implementing and supporting business systems including specifications, process modeling, implementation, delivery architecture, configuration, training, integration, operations, and support

  • 2+ years of experience managing, configuring and supporting core financial and logistics systems functions (GL, AP, AR, budgeting, T&E, procurement, P2P, WMS, CPM) in enterprise systems such as Infor, Aggresso, Serenic, Epicor, Sage, Oracle, SAP

  • 2+ years of experience with external standards compliance (SSAE, PCI) and auditing

  • Financial and supply chain subject matter expertise as it relates to information systems

  • Experience providing administration and support for enterprise-level systems with substantial numbers of users across global time zones and varying IT infrastructure

  • 2+ years of experience with Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies in different team roles

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e. day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (requirements and design specifications) form, as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications

  • Good listening skills

  • Strong analytic curiosity and innovative problem solving skills using a systems thinking approach.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team structure.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships across all departments and levels of the organization

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with Infor SUN systems

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and methods such as data warehouses, visualization tools, architectures and relational database systems (e.g.: MS SQL, Oracle, Windows Server, Qlik, LogiXML, Tableau, BIDS, and Cognos)

  • Experience with enterprise data modeling

  • Experience with enterprise-level system integrations

  • Experience with the delivery of technology in low/intermittent bandwidth scenarios including the reconciliation of financial information

  • International development experience

  • Knowledge of French or Arabic

Working Environment:


  • Standard office working environment

  • Some international travel as needed
