NIGHT SHIFT JOB DESCRIPTION;
*******Applicant must have three months of Stand Up Pallet Jack/Forklift experience to be considered********
- Warehouse workers select orders for next day delivery by assembling orders on pallets utilizing stand-up (ride-on) electric pallet jacks. Work activities may also include checking product and loading trucks.
- This is an active job. Although it includes repetitive lifting, unlike many food distributors, our average case weight is less than 15 pounds. Very few of our items weigh more than 45 pounds. Therefore, the work is active, but not as physical as most other order selecting positions.
- Shifts begin at designated times (around 7:30 PM) and end when the work has been completed. The typical workweek runs 5 days and begins Sunday evening. Shifts typically begin Sunday through Thursday nights. Therefore, it is typical to have Friday and Saturday nights off.
- Consistent overtime much of the year. First year earnings can approximate $30,000, which includes the opportunity to earn significant incentive pay in addition to an employee’s hourly pay rate.
- Annual Increases thereafter.
- Payroll is paid weekly.
OTHER;
- Prior Order Selecting experience a plus.
- This is not a seasonal position. The Company has never had a lay-off.
