Our Client, a fast-paced, rapidly growing, private equity backed business based in Hertfordshire has an outstanding opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant with 2-3 years commercial experience to join them as Financial Reporting Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an interesting, well backed organisation in a broad ‘mini-financial controller’ position. The primary purpose of the role is to take full control of the financial / management reporting requirements of the Group companies.
This includes ensuring that accurate financial & management reporting are maintained, monthly management reports are issued to quality and time, statutory compliance is met and group consolidation is completed.
Key Duties:
-Monthly financial reporting pack
-Business partnering with department heads including monthly meetings to understand issues and recommend appropriate action
-Budgeting and forecasting for central support function
-Manage the month end close
-Lead the automation of the monthly financial reporting pack
-Prepare and finalise all IFRS statutory accounts to best in class standards and timelines
-Deliver the year-end audit, acting as a point of contact for auditors ensuring that they have access to all required areas of the business and their queries are answered to timetable
-Prepare the year-end schedules for the external tax consultants & where appropriate liaise with HMRC
-Monthly group consolidated accounts (ensuring validity and control, driving continuous process and building the basis for annual consolidated financial statements)
-Monthly group consolidated Board paper
-Monthly cashflow forecasting for the UK and Group consolidation
-Annual statutory accounts for all Group entities in compliance with IFRS
-Prepare full year consolidated financial information for the appropriate group companies
-Manage annual audit and taxation requirements
-Responsible for identifying and assessing the impact of any changes in financial reporting standards
-Assisting in the Group budgeting process
-Ensure company’s compliance with financing agreements immediately flagging up issues and concerns

-Project lead on automation of reporting project
-Manage risk in the entities, and provide reporting and analysis to Head of Finance and CFO on a monthly basis
-Ad Hoc tasks and projects as required by Head of Finance/Group CFO
-Continuous improvement in processes and presentations
-Assist the development of integrated Group financial systems
-Assess impact of IFRS conversion for Group statutory accounts FY2015
The successful candidate will be ACA Qualified (ideally from a top 10 firm) and have experience in a Financial Reporting / Accounting role in a comparable commercial business. You will have significant PQE experience in preparation of entity and group statutory accounts under IFRS for multi-currency group company and delivering the year-end audit. You will have some experience of financial and operational analysis, budgeting and forecasting; Experience scoping and delivering ongoing improvements relating to financial systems, controls and processes; Experience of leading the successful implementation of a reporting tool such as Cognos. Experience of implementing ERP systems and change management; Worked in partnership with key business stakeholders and delivered accurate timely outputs.
