This position provides high-level administrative and project support for the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees. Completes special projects, coordinates events for the President and Board of Trustees, maintains Office of the President and Board of Trustee budgets, and provides complex and confidential support to the President and Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Serve as office manager for the Office of the President. Confidentiality and discretion are essential to all operations in the Office of the President.
2. Maintain appointments, schedules, and calendars; arrange meetings, conferences, workshops, and appointments for the President.
3. Assist the President and Board of Trustees in preparing data for decision-making purposes.
4. Regularly, frequently, and independently interfaces with high-level internal and external contacts requiring considerable discretion, initiative, and confidentiality.
5. Coordinate staff recognition materials and events; coordinate receptions and social functions, and meetings for the President with the staff and community.
6. Prepare and distribute
materials for all Board meetings, including collecting and editing materials provided by the President, Board Chair and College Cabinet.
7. Serve as recording secretary and prepares accurate and high quality minutes for Board meetings.
8. Under the President’s direction, collect and edit materials for the Presidents annual Board of Trustee evaluation.
9. Coordinate conference and travel arrangements for the President and Board of Trustees.
10. Coordinate and oversee the budgets for the President’s office and Board of Trustees, including projected costs for the fiscal year and submitting purchase requisitions.
11. Maintain documents, files, and records (e.g. Board Policy Book, Board records, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
12. Manage all logistics related to Board elections.
13. Assist with facilitating the flow of communication between the President and Board.
14. Work closely with the President, Board of Trustees and College Cabinet to provide information and services to the college’s internal and external customers.
15. Use considerable judgment in handling complex and controversial matters, resolving informal complaints when appropriate, and informing the President or appropriate Cabinet member of their resolution.
16. Participate in and support President’s Circle activities as requested.
17. Prepare and distribute materials for all College Cabinet meetings.
18. Interface and coordinate activities with the NWACC Foundation as requested by the President.
19. Serve as the first contact for the President’s office; screen visitors and telephone calls; provide accurate pertinent information regarding rules, regulations, and policies; and relieve the President of considerable administrative detail.
20. Create and maintain College organizational chart.
21. Coordinate the Fall and Spring Employee-wide Forums.
22. Arrange logistics when NWACC is the host campus for organizations or boards in which the President is a member, including hotel reservations, equipment reservations, directions, food and refreshments and meeting space.
23. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises a small group (1-3) of employees.
SALARY : $40,000-$50,000. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
