Conference Services Concierge- Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center - Columbus Hospitality Management - Columbus, OH

The beautiful Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center located in Lewis Center,Ohio is seeking a dynamic customer service minded individual to join our team as a Conference Services Concierge. This position handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodates special requests whenever possible, resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with conference services, hours of operations, in-house events, directions, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes packages, faxes, messages, and mail which may be either outgoing or incoming in an accurate and timely manner.


Assists with events to ensure break food, room sets, and audio visual requirements are met for each meeting.


Lends support to break attendant, set-up and hotel front desk for any reason such has absence or high business volume.


Monitors the conference center for cleanliness, organization and safety to maintain the standards of a sophisticated event campus.


Greets clients prior to the start of their function to determine any additional needs or changes. Implements such changes or additions by contacting the correct department.


Maintains direct communication with the sales and planning department to coordinate name tags, rooming lists, welcome letters, weekly activities and booking recaps.


Position may entail working in other positions on property such as break attendant, conference services set up and front desk. This list is not all inclusive.

Required Skills


Previous guest service experience.


Previous hotel front desk or concierge experience.


Flexibility in scheduling.


Must be able to work extended hours.


Ability to lift 20 lbs.


Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours.


Excellent communication skills; including speaking, writing and reading.


The ability to multi-task, adapt to change and be a team player.


Required Experience


1-2 years solid experience in a Guest Services role.


High School diploma or equivalent.
