The Dental Hygienist, under the supervision of a licensed dentist, performs functions of a clinical dental hygienist, schedules patients, and performs administrative functions. This position supports the General Practice Residency program, which provides advanced training to dental residents in the care of ambulatory and hospitalized patients.

REQUIRED:

Graduate of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and endorsed by the American Dental Association (ADA)
·
Licensed by the Oregon Board of Dentistry as a Dental Hygienist
·
BLS/ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
·
Demonstrable record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance at past and present employers.
·
Demonstrated exemplary tact, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy.
·
Demonstrated ability to read, write and understand written and oral instructions in English.
·
Demonstrated record of exemplary customer service experience.
PREFERRED:
·
1 year clinical dental experience
·
Experience with OHSU School of Dentistry clinical systems
Additional Details
Will occasionally need to lift up to 30 lbs (supplies). May need to lift patients to/from wheelchairs or transport beds.
Ability to stand/walk for 4 continuous hours a day. Environmental exposures include: blood, body fluids, needle sticks, nitrous oxide, scalpel cuts, and minimum radiation
