Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archivist OR Minimum of 5
year(s) of experience in Information and records management within government
Previously completed training in library science, information science, records
(paper and electronic) management, National Archives and Records Administration
training, archival work in appraising, accessing, arranging, describing,
preserving, publishing, or providing reference service from public records,
archival principles and techniques.
Knowledge of federal government records management regulations (NARA),
Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act.
Experience required with Windows, Copying Machine, MS Word, MS Excel
PowerPoint, scanner
Duties:
The incumbent will provide support to the Great Lakes National Program Office
(GLNPO) in its administration of Records and Information Management.
Support GLNPO management in development and maintenance of its enterprise
policies and procedures, reflecting business practices required by the Federal
Records and management laws and regulations and EPA policies and Guidance. 20%
Support GLNPO management in providing policy and governance on the use of
records management tools to ensure best practices to the office. 20%
Support GLNPO in inventorying documents and determining proper disposition
of documents (paper and electronic). 20%
Support GLNPO in organizing records and information based on Agency lines of
business and developing plans for logical filing structures, and information
access and training to staff. 20%
Support GLNPO in identifying and managing records and in establishing their
protection and access in support of Continuity of Operations. 20%
Other:
General all staff training (information security; FOIA)
The incumbent will be trained on specific EPA data systems.
