This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Team member should make routine checks on 56 hatching machines and 56 incubation machines that involve logging temperatures and humidity levels by hand held computer that reports to corporate monitoring program every 3 hours. Involves working with chemicals. Must be able mix and handle vaccines according to manufacturers and Tyson standards. The team member will be loading and washing farm egg racks as well as general janitorial cleaning in all areas that require attention. Team member must be able to diagnose and perform light duty repairs such as replacing wheels, casters, air water filters and lubricating processing equipment. Team member must be able to perform any other duties assigned by supervisor when the need arises.
Requirements
Team member must be dependable and able to work unsupervised. Team member must have an excellent work ethics and attendance record. Team member must be able to maneuver 700-800 lb. loaded racks of eggs assisted machinery to various points to and from areas of hatchery. Team member must be able to pass respirator fit testing. Team member must be able to operate SAP Maintenance computer programs and hand held computer devices. Team member must be able to work on hard surface for 8 to 10 hour shifts and able to work in a hot and humid environments. The position requires working from elevated surfaces such as ladders and stools as well as in different areas associated with the process of hatching chickens.
