Summary of Accountabilities: This position reports to the Director of HUP Supply Chain and is responsible for supervising all activities of the Materials Service partner II ( aka Facilitators ). This includes inventory management of OR supplies and equipment that is not the responsibility of Materials Management Department, resolution of back orders, product recalls, consignment inventory, and inventory borrowed from other facilities. Position will also oversee the reporting and recording of requests and issues related to Clinical Engineering and Physical Plant. Position will be responsible for special projects as assigned by the Director.
Expectations and requirements of the position include, but is not limited to, establish and maintain a team approach environment among the staff and with the various stakeholders of the Operating Room. Create a customer service oriented team that is confident, self sufficient, dedicated and willing to accept accountability. Individual will take the lead in investigating safety nets and other complaints related to the supplies and equipment that are the responsibility of the Facilitator and effectively communicate to the responsible stakeholders the resolution and corrective action to be taken. Supervisor will provide the necessary guidance and leadership to create and maintain an effective, efficient, and productive team.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma is required. College degree is preferable.
5 years of supervising staff in a large university based , high intensity OR environment
5 years of inventory management and supply chain logistic experience, knowledge of medical supplies, devices and equipment is preferred.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
This position requires constant movement and walking of the factory floor to monitor events
Must possess strong leadership skills, exhibit self confidence and decisive with decision making and comfortable with accountability.
Must possess strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve within the time requirements as dictated by a high intensity OR environment
Must be detailed oriented, self motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive reports, project planning, etc.
Must be flexible with days and hours able to work and length of workday
