Provides administrative and customer service support to the benefits area responding to employee questions. This is an experienced, skilled or technical level capable of carrying out most assignments typical of the position or specialty with limited guidance or review. Supervision Received
Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

Provides administrative and customer service support to the benefits area responding to employee questions.
Maintains employee hardcopy files.
Inputs employee data into HRIS database.
P rocesses various forms related to documenting benefits changes.
Assists with new employee orientation.
Prepares special reports related to benefits using database information.
Provides information to employees regarding health, life, disability and other benefits via phone and/or email.
Handles escalated issues/problems from lower level employees e.g. Benefits Representative.
Decision Making
Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
Leadership Provided
None but may handle escalated issues from Benefits Representative

Knowledge of HRIS.
Knowledge of basic basic insurance and benefit practices, policies and procedures.
Microsoft Office skills.

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
1-2 years’ of benefits experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with 1-2 years’ of benefits experience.
Licensures and Certifications
None required.
