HR Assistant/Front Desk Controller - Crossroads for Youth - Oxford, MI






SUMMARY: This person performs or coordinates all functions for the Agency. This person is supervised by the HR Manager.


Position Specific Competencies


  • General Front Desk – Performs receptionist duties regarding the phone and receiving/logging of visitors, maintains gas receipt book, maintains agency voice mail system and phone contact sheet, performs broadcast messages over voice mail, functions as “Base”, for radios, faxes and copies documents as needed, manages incoming/outgoing mail, handles petty cash dispersion, postage machine and box, distributes paychecks, trains individuals on the front desk, is in charge of logging work orders, fire drills, and campus meeting request.

  • Purchasing – Orders and maintains all office supplies, facilitates the ordering of Staff Logo Wear, office supply purchases v. budget for the year, physical review of volume and organization of office supply stock.

  • Recruiting – Places Ads for positions as directed, Evaluates resumes and applications for interviews, Coordinates interviews and facilitates post-offer paperwork, Runs background checks, Coordinates new hire paperwork and training

  • Employee/Client Records – Maintains accuracy and completion of paper files, Monitors accuracy of electronic files, Files all employee/client paperwork accurately and timely

  • Training – Oversees employee training records to ensure accuracy, Maintains electronic and paper training files, Payroll – Assists Human Resources with payroll.

  • General HR Office – Supervises Interns, Prepares VOE’s and reference requests, Assists with Unemployment and Worker’s Comp Claims ,OSHA, FMLA, Unemployment hearings

  • All documentation is complete, thorough, accurate, timely, legible, grammar and spelling are appropriate, guidelines for that particular document are followed, and signatures and dates are affixed where required.

  • All Training requirements for this position are met.

  • Demonstrates an appropriate level of understanding of Choice Theory / Reality Therapy, as it pertains to their position.

  • Maintains good relationships with peers and his/her supervisor, and maintains appropriate boundaries with all persons with which he/she comes in contact during work time.

  • Follows all Agency Core Competencies and policies and procedures, is supportive of agency, and performs all duties as assigned.

  • Schedule is kept consistently and timely, with minimal absences, and minimal tardiness.

  • Is a good steward of Agency Resources by using resources appropriately and efficiently, to ensure minimal waste and maximize efficiency of usage.

Requirements


  • Must possess a high school diploma.

  • Must be able to successfully pass the agency’s background check and pre-placement physical.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $10.00 /hour
