This position is located in the Veterans Health Administration (VA) Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Network (VISN6), in the Health Administration Services at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

INSERT DUTIES: The incumbent utilizes automated software programs to prepare reports, documents, memorandum and complex forms to track, sort, revise and compute data. Uses word processing software to create, edit, store retrieve and print forms from automated hardware to support office operations. Transmits and receives emails and documents electronically using personal computers or workstations that are networked or linked to other computers or workstations. Reviews and updates office procedures. Establishes and monitors suspense dates. Purges and disposes office records or files in accordance with Record Management policy. Schedules appointments and meetings. Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations and directives according to Medical Center policy. Prepares minutes of staff meetings and compiles them into final form. Proofreads and edits outgoing correspondence prepared by others for procedural and grammatical accuracy in conformance with general policy. Serves as the liaison between the supervisor and subordinate units. Receives telephone calls, greets visitors, and discerns nature of calls and visits of employees and a variety of customer. The incumbent is responsible for the receipt of, control of, logging, safekeeping and necessary action of confidential materials. Performs other directly related duties as required.
