Processes all mail, both internally and externally, for staff and offenders. Receives and inspects for contraband all incoming and outgoing offender mail and receives and distributes departmental mail on a daily basis in compliance with applicable federal, state and departmental regulations and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer previous experience working in a mailroom, sorting and processing mail. Prefer some knowledge of prison security.
Special Requirements
All applicants are subject to a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen. The investigation may include: fingerprint checks (State Police, FBI); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment); credit checks; and other checks requested by the hiring authority.
