Responsibilities: The door attendant is primarily responsible for assisting patients and guests to and from cars, courtesy vans, Gold Cross, etc., while establishing and maintaining a pleasant and helpful relationship. Other responsibilities include: keeping the patient loading zones clear, transporting patients and specimens, calling taxi cabs and courtesy vehicles daily for patients and visitors, valet parking when required and assisting with traffic control. Wheelchair recovery is required of all door staff which may include the following: hospital floors, clinic floors, hotels and other on and off campus ancillary areas. (001625-46189)
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous customer service experience required.
Additional Qualifications: Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication, telephone and human relation skills to interact with patients, guests and staff. Strong problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Must be able to work varied hours which may include days, evenings, days/evenings, holidays and weekends with rotating days off.
License or Certification: Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $15.40 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: Various
Schedule Details: As-needed to cover illnesses, vacation and leave of absences.
