The
Mail Services Assistant
is responsible for providing safe receipt, processing and delivery of mail, parcels and freight within assigned facilities.
Responsibilities include:
Sorting incoming and inter-office mail/parcels for delivery to addressees
Processing outgoing U.S. Mail, parcels and freight
Assuring that mail is processed in accordance with USPS (and/or governing body) regulations and guidelines
Maintaining/monitoring postage meter usage
Maintaining addresses associated to sorting mail/parcels
Managing Central Office Supply Room (inventory, orders, stock and delivery)
Monitoring and setting up conference rooms for meetings/events
Reviewing and processing SAP invoices
Assisting with copier equipment supplies
Maintaining Guard-One Security System and auditing reports
Participating as a member of Office Emergency Team
Functioning as a back-up for:
Facility Maintenance Tech (On-call duty, office moves, contractor over-site)
Security surveillance system review
Team coverage as needed
Qualifications
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
1+ years of customer service experience
Proficient (ability to perform the skill with limited assistance) in Microsoft Word and Outlook
Willing and able to work while on feet approximately 40 – 60% of workday
Willing and able to move items weighing up to 50 lbs
Willing and able to operate company vehicle
Preferred:
Mail processing experience
Facility maintenance experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent reading and communication skills
Manage multiple tasks, accurately and efficiently
Work well independently and as a team member
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment
Builds positive relationships across organizations that foster a strong work environment
Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended
