Interviews patient to obtain accurate and complete patient demographic information, enter in the hospital information system, exhibit customer relation skills, verifies all insurance coverage, and collection of payment due from patient. Communicate with the nursing staff for room assignments. Sends or escorts patients to the appropriate departments. If working in ER Registration, responsibilities include operator duties after hours, activating codes for alarm system and performing census duties. Qualifications Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience: Able to utilize PC, some collection experience, and good customer service etiquette. Skills: Some typing skills.
