Job Summary / Responsibilities:
This is a temporary position funded for 3 months.
- Conducts qualitative coding and data analysis of transcripts from focus group discussions and in-depth interviews conducted in Burkina Faso and Uganda
- Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures for conducting analysis of qualitative research studies.
- Strong knowledge of software programs used to perform qualitative data analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and prepare reports
- Works on problems of moderate scope that require a review of various factors.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Education, Health, Behavioral, Life or Social Sciences, International Development, Human Development or a related field.
- 3-5 years of research or evaluation experience.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and French.
- Experience working with NVivo qualitative data analysis software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheet software and other technology required.
- Related prior work experience preferred.
