Successful candidates will be assigned to the Extra Crew job classification upon initial hire. These employees are assigned daily, to work in a variety of jobs, based on plant needs. Examples of daily responsibilities could include, but are not limited to: palletizing, packaging, loading hopper cars, dumping chemicals, fork truck operation, and transferring starch. The operations facility is continuous and all applicants must be available to work 4 rotating shifts, all days of the week. This position requires highly adaptable people who take pride in doing an excellent job. Candidates are required to have computer skills and be able to develop & apply mechanical/problem solving skills; as well as work well in a team environment with minimal supervision. Candidate must be able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: lift up to 50 pounds as needed, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Manufacturing experience a plus. The Ingredion Indianapolis Plant is located just south of Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401k savings plans.
