Position Summary:
This document destruction business is looking for a person to assist the owner and her staff in various areas of the business.
This position is a dynamic position that requires planning, action, review, teamwork, documentation, and communication with developmentally disabled (DD) and non DD personnel. Interaction with the Owner, who is a person with a developmental disability, and the other DD staff requires a coaching and mentoring approach. We promote an atmosphere of helping and assisting to make wise decisions and to learn from their mistakes, not an atmosphere of authority exerted by the Mentor. Therefore, this position requires patience, understanding, and socratic teaching approach. The Mentor will help with driving and production while maintaining a safe environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Operate and drive a 26 foot box truck, CDL operator’s license is not required. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, however, must be willing to learn to drive the truck. On-site shredding jobs are done in and around the Miami Valley area.
- Take shredded paper to the recycling center and assist staff in unloading.
- Assist Owner and staff while at customers’ locations.

- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 40 pounds routinely.
- Must be able to tolerate outside weather
- Must have reliable transportation
The right candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio drivers license, be able to pass the Nurses Aid Registry, Abuser Registry. Candidate must also be willing to take a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination by a doctor of the company’s choice and get certified in First Aid and CPR.
Salary: $10.00 /hour
