United States of America: Results Senior Associate


The Senior Results Associate provides administrative and operational support to the PLI unit in three areas: (i) results management, for further strengthening M&E practices; (ii) information management, focusing on MSH’s Intranet usage; and, (iii) Knowledge Management activities aimed to become a learning organization.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


Results Management (35%)


  • Support in leading Total Reach process on an annual basis.

  • Support in leading People Trained process on an annual basis.

  • Compile epidemiological, health systems and health policy data from priority countries for case studies and health system analyses.

  • Support the development of online databases for PLI work and initiatives.

  • Support compiling information for MSH Scorecard on a quarterly basis.

Knowledge Management (25%)


  • Lessons learned support – analysis and summary of lessons learned from the lessons learned practical application approach.

  • TEN support – manage content on TEN OLLIE page, manage the ten@msh.org email address, delegate web analytics for points of contact, support with Knowledge-Gateway, synthesize discussion threads, and support for developing a global perspective across all MSH’s TENs.

  • Editorial support – support reviewing documents that apply the technical publication standards.

Information Management (25%)


  • Triage of OLLIE support requests and provision of level 1 support.

  • Training MSH staff on using OLLIE, including OLLIE 101 for new hires.

  • Approved Author basics, gradually Content Manager full training.

  • Promotional brown bags (effective search, etc.).

  • Analysis and implementation of basic design requests.

  • Analytics production.

  • Content quality reviews and remediation (cleaning up).

Administrative Support (15%)


  • Support for MSH’s RMNCAH implementation research and delivery science internship program.

  • Update PLI web pages in OLLIE on a monthly basis.

  • Setting up and maintain Google sites for Total Reach, People Trained, MSH events related to health systems research and alike.

  • Setting up and update Google shared drives for internal performance reviews hosted by PLI.

  • Plan logistics for PLI events (i.e., workshops, retreats, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 2 years of experience

  • Exposure to, and interest in, knowledge management.

  • User experience with online services, preferably having used some basic content publishing software and analytics tools.

  • Interest in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and public health.

  • Qualitative data synthesis.

  • Ability to converse in French useful, but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills


  • Preference will be shown to candidates with experience with collecting, managing and analyzing and reporting on strategic information.

  • Familiarity with electronic platforms for maintaining, updating and virtual training.

  • Experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL and/or Microsoft Access strongly preferred.

  • Enjoys learning; a team player and a self-starter who can use her/his own initiative to identify useful work.

  • Experience living or working in developing countries is desirable to understand program context, field realities and technical needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues from multiple units and within various socio-cultural contexts.

  • Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and solve problems using innovative, evidence-based solutions.

  • Excellent writing, organizational and communications skills including organizing, scanning, summarizing and presenting information.

Physical Demands


  • Travel requirements.

  • Keyboard use, Pulling drawers, Lifting papers <10lbs.
