Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Working from a home office, the Data and Reporting Associate will
prepare regular and ad hoc reports for internal audiences which summarize student and teacher performance and engagement data. This individual will use software to enhance our ability to use data for informed decision making, including
project planning, operations and staffing, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience using both a variety of custom software applications and standard packages such as Microsoft Office, as well as proven ability to accurately
process and manipulate data across multiple systems, while maintaining high standards of data protection in accordance with FERPA.
Performance Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze student and teacher performance data within our Education Management System, Connexus, to prepare and distribute reports to the Teaching Services and Program Management Teams;
- Support analyzing the reports and performance data provided by third-party instructional programs (e.g., Study Island, Success Maker) and make recommendations to the Teaching Services about how the
data should be used to plan instruction;
- Use Excel to manipulate data reports using formulas, macros, and pivot tables to c reate data summaries and visually appealing presentations;
- Create a process to track and research projects, including state certification and endorsement details;
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports on departmental data linked to improvement initiatives;
- Provide information to management by summarizing performance data according to school year cycle requirements;
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to data usage, protection and analysis;
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Measurement, Mathematics or related field is preferred ( appropriate
substitutions of another degree and directly applicable experience will be considered)
- Proven work experience where analytical skills and
strong organizational skills were utilized
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, with an emphasis on data transformation, and
expertise with other Office products
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven track record working as a team player in a fast paced work environment
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
- Comfortable with technology and experience learning new technologies
- Flexible, diligent and professional – willing to work hard and have fun while doing so
- Understanding of best practices for online teaching preferred
- Ability to learn and add value quickly
- Maintain a sense of urgency and goal orientation with a demonstrated ability to effectively meet deadline
- Straightforward, honest, team player
Microsoft Master or Expert level certification preferred
