Product Tester Level Two at Nintendo of America, Inc.
Position Description
- Basic understanding of methods and processes used in software-testing practices
- Identifies programming errors and anomalies
- Report anomalies in a clear and consistently documented manner
- Execute test-plan assignments
- Evaluates product/whitepaper testing
- Assists with proofreading manuals and other publications
- May conduct product demonstrations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate independently or as part of a team
- Execute test cases
- Proficiency with Nintendo’s internal Bug Tracking System (BTS) (i.e. create and run reports, bug searches
- Accurately track game contents (i.e. characters, items, levels) and build project quick play outlines
- Provide support to entry-level testers
- Recommend and improve workflows/processes
- See tasks through to completion with minimal supervision
Successful Associates will have the following skills:
- 2+ Years software testing experience through all phases of software-testing cycle
- Ability to complete games quickly and efficiently (top 90%) preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent * Knowledge of Nintendo and competitor products
- Strong gameplay skills
- Detail oriented and creative, with a questioning mind
- Good oral- and written-communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to function in a highly-confidential environment
- PC skills (Microsoft Office products and browser-based software preferred)
Work Schedule
- Department hours are Monday- Thursday 9:15 AM – 5:30 PM and Friday 9:15 AM- 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $14.00 /hour
