Patient Services Rep - Crystal Run Healthcare - Middletown, NY





The Patient Services Representative is responsible for the registration of patients to the Practice and performs duties related to patient/visitor centered customer service.

Additional Responsibilities include:

•Verifies patient demographic and insurance information/eligibility at time of visit; assures information is accurate, complete and up to date in the chart. Scans insurance card and photo identification when required.

•Provides, explains and reviews registration forms and obtains signatures when required.

•Determines balance due at time of visit including past balance, co-pays/co-insurance and deductibles; takes responsibility for collecting and posting payments in accordance with Cash Control Policy.

•Responsible for making appropriate internal/external notifications regarding scheduled and urgent/emergent admissions to obtain authorization.

•Other duties as assigned.
